Instructions to become an ABPT certified Therapist

  • In order to earn certificate, you must have an active individual account with MyABPT.com
  • Once you create a new account, log on to your account.
  • Course certificate is divided into three phases.
  • You will need to take a short quiz at the end of each phase.
  • Upon successfully completing first phase you will be able to go to the second phase.
  • Upon successfully completing second phase you will be able to go to the third phase.
  • Upon successfully completing third or final phase, system will generate an ABPT certificate for you.
  • Once you have completed each phase, your test score will be displayed, along with the correct answers highlighted. A link to the preferred answer in the context of the reading material may also be provided.
  • Each phase may have a different percentage to pass. It is specified in the introduction page of each quiz at that phase. You must also answer all questions.
  • Once you have completed a complete course, your My ABPT summary page will be updated to reflect the earned certificate along with a link to a printable version of the official certificate for that course.

Each phase should take about 1 to 2 hours to complete.

Each phase consists of the following modules:

  • Full Text Articles / power point presentation.
  • If available, a link to the complete article PDF
  • Course certificate -> Phase No.-> Quiz
  • Print button to print certificate upon completion.

An ABPT course certificate may be accessed in the following ways:

  • You must need to create an account online at MyABPT.com.
  • Once account is created, you must activate your account by clicking on the activation link from confirmation email you will receive upon successful completion of registration process.
  • You must have an active individual account with MyABPT.com.
  • You will need to log on using your credential to MyABPT.com
  • Once logged on, From Online MyABPT.com - The navigation link provided on the homepage and at the top of each page that directs the user to a listing of course certificate phases.

How to complete a each phase?

  • Select the phase through the process described above.
  • Read the corresponding full-text articles / power point presentation associated with the selected phase in its entirety.
  • After reading the articles in the course, you can access a quiz assoiciated with that phase by selecting the "Start Quiz" links provided on the course description page, or, by following the "Next" and "Previous" arrows to move from page to page in the course.
  • For each mutiple choise question in the quiz, there will be 3 or more choices.
  • You will need to click on correct choice in able to answer each question from the quiz.
  • Upon completion of all questions on the quiz. Select "FINISH COURSE" to process your score.
  • If any questions are left unanswered, you will receive an error and be asked to try again. Use the "Back" button on your browser to return to the submit page. Upon completing the question(s) missed, select the "FINISH COURSE" button again.
  • Under construction - You may choose to "Save Quiz Progress" on a quiz if you are interrupted. You may resume the course at any time, until it expires.
  • When the quiz is passed, links to the preferred answers will be highlighted.
  • You may read the articles and submit the quizzes in any order. After passing each quiz you will be directed to next phase.
  • After completing the each phase, follow links to the home page to access your course certificate summary history, courses in progress, and certificate earned, along with links to printable course certificate.
